Do all gay couples have a top and a bottom? Do all gay men couples have someone in the relationship that likes to pound and be pounded? I dont know any other way to put it. I love gay people. I am all for gay marriages. My best friend is gay and his partner is fabulous.... Im just curious whether or not thats how it works.... My best friend said hes a bottom and his partner is a top. His partner doesnt like being pounded but likes to pound., Are all gay couples this way?

Some people have a preference for being on top or bottom, depending on whether they feel it is better to give or to receive in bed. Some people do not have a preference at all, whereas some have a preference but are versatile. And, believe it or not, many gay men don't like anal sex at all.
It's hard to find a "rule" that applies to every gay couple without it becoming a stereotype.
Whatever one's preference as a "top" or "bottom," it says nothing about whether they are a dominant or submissive person in other areas of life, nor does it signify who is the "man" and the "woman" in the relationship.

Not really, there is a wide variety of sexual expression between gay couples. top and bottom are definitions for preferences but some people and couples are what is called 'versatile'.

LOL I would say that they simply love each other and please each other sexually, physically, mentally. I'm not feeling that whole "one gets pounded and one does the pounding". The only difference I know between straight couples and gay couples is the obvious, man loves woman, or same sex people in love.

No, people are different.
Some like being bottoms, some like being tops, some are versatile.
That's why the three terms exist.

Not all gay couples are that way. I recently asked my gay friend and he told me that he and his partner alternate. That they are both manly and not every gay couple has a "man" and "woman" role.

I'm a lesbian and my girlfriend and I are both femme. Neither one of us is only a top. We take turns. Just depends on whoes in the mood to do what.

No not at all. Many are versatile(meaning they take turns) and there are some who don't do anal at all.
