Go for it. I have over 20 tatts and 15 piercings. If you don't like the piercing, take it out.

Only go for the tattoo if you're really sure -I got mine once I knew I definitely wanted it, I always had one design in mind. Piercings can heal over so if you don't like it it's easier to change.
If cost isn't an issue, go for both. But if you go for both, perhaps get them within the same week. You'll be able to combine your care routines for both, and a woman's pain threshold is supposedly higher the week before her period (get some waxing done that week too lol!).
I would suggest a tattoo that wouldn't be obtrusive. Make it small, make in easy to conceal by clothing. I know people that have lovely designs on their hands/wrists which look good now (smaller designs look better on women too), but it won't look so good later on in life, especially as they can't cover it up. If you are going to go for something complex, especially if it's bigger than your hand, bear in mind that'll you'll need it to be completed over more than one appointment.
Either way, go to a place that is recommended by someone who's been a customer there, or even look on www.yell.com for your nearest 'parlours' and see which one(s) are in bold (recommended).

Do not get either - tattoos are for life, you are stuck with it and piercing is just a form of self-harming, and when you no longer want the piercing you are stuck with that too, for ever and for ever. Be sensible, think ahead when you are in a responsible job or are a parent and how you would explain tattoos and piercing.

Get the piercing done first until you've decide on what design for the tattoo, and where you want to put it. You don't ever want to go to get a tattoo when all you have is a vague idea. It should be something you love, and think that you will want for the rest of your life.

If you change your mind about the belly piercing you just remove the stud. The tattoo you're stuck with for the next 60 years - don't do it!!!

Get the piercing, but on the tattoo, think about what you really want, because once is there is there.

I personally don't like tattoos and pierced bellies but my opinion is that if you like it and feel comfortable with it you should do it.
