Try almost any song by the Eagles- they're in G for the most part, google "Take it Easy" and "tab" and you'll get the lyrics and chords.... if chord changes are a hassle at the moment, practice the changes with your eyes closed- go from G to C and back again over and over-you'll be surprised how fast you improve...

i live with and am around musicians alot..i can tell you that the first song almost every musician learns is Hotel California by the Eagles.... Another one is Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven, the accoustic parts....good luck!
