Well I don't think I would want to be committed to someone without them knowing financial responsibility. I wouldn't be with someone for their money, however, would want someone who values what they have earned and spends wisely. Otherwise my future with that person would probably be shaky as we would always fight about money, if we don't already. Hope I helped....

Help them to make more uniform decisions in regards to their spending habits, but not being pushy when doing so. A relationship should not be based on money nor fought about. Money is one of the top 5 reasons couples break up.

well it takes a lot of patience and understanding. you'll first need to set some boundaries, and decide how far you can withstand the situation.

i think the best thing to do is to lead by example. you might be great at giving advice, but i think practicing what you preach helps make it a lifestyle habit. so if you're advising your other half to be more frugal or to get a job - any job - you should be the one exemplifying all that.
