There are lots of CD-Roms around with all sorts of fascinating information on them.
What I would like to know is if they can only be played on a computer? Or can they be played on any kind of DVD player, so I can watch the action on my television, instead of having to watch the contents of the CD-Rom on my computer?
I think the answer is "NO". But it's worth asking.

You can play the cd on any machine that can read the programme type on the cd.

If your cd contains music in an audio format then you can play it on your pc, cd player or dvd player. If your files are mpeg movie format then your pc and dvd will recognise them.

It all depends on the software installed on the machine you put the disk in and what types of files are on the disk.

opportunities are high the CD stress itself has long gone undesirable (extremely if the pc is an previous Win98 container) CD drives have not got countless lifespans and are in straightforward terms $30 products first of all- attempt some distinctive CDs to determine in case you may no longer study any of them, or in basic terms that one. If no longer something is known, the stress itself in all probability needs cleansing (attempt a $5 kit like those used for CD gamers) or replace.

you can only play a cd-r on a cd compatible machine, like a computer or a cd player (only if you BURN your music to the cd as wav). You cant play a cd in your dvd player.

It depends what format your DVD player is capable of. Obviously it can play audio cd's, so if you burn the cd as a audio disc, it will play. Check if it can play VCD's or DIVX. If so, you can convert your video files to the appropriate format, burn it, and play it on the DVD player.
