I just purchased a piano, and would love to take piano lessons. I would like to know ABOUT how much lessons will be. I know every teacher has different prices...but I would like to know a ballpark number. Thanks!

LEARN PIANO ONLINE AND SAVE MONEY!

What it costs to take piano lessons these days? Anywhere from $30 to $60 an hour depending on the teacher and the studio. But, if you have a computer and a pair of speakers, it can cost you as little as $9.95 a month!

To play piano online, you need to know what to expect. There won't be anyone looking over your shoulder correcting you as you go along. No instant feedback or suggestions on fingering. What you do get is the chance to work at your own pace and learn at your own pace - something adults really appreciate.

Most adults simply do not have the time to schedule an additional hour a week many piano teachers require their students to do. It's just not feasible. When you learn to play piano online however, you can login and take lessons whenever and wherever you want.

Many online piano lessons feature audio examples where you can actually hear the instructor demonstrating the example. This is a feature you should look for. Some online instructors also have "office hours" where you can ask questions and get feedback on any problems you may encounter.

The real benefit however is the money you can save. If you're someone who needs constant feedback and assistance, learning to play piano online may not be for you. But if you like the idea of taking your time and working at your own pace and saving a lot of money, you should consider trying the online piano lessons that are currently available.

Lessons are about $50 for an hour, if you find a professional. If you're in an area with a decent music school around, try finding a music student to give you lessons. Especially if you're just starting out, this can be just as good, and a lot cheaper (sometimes half the price of a pro).

It all depends on where you live. Here in NC our prices range from $15-30 per half hour lesson. Maybe search for a teacher in your area via www.musicstaff.com or www.pianoteachers.com . I believe the MusicStaff website lists prices. Naturally non-degreed teachers are less expensive than degreed teachers.
Congratulations on your piano! I am a piano teacher myself. Find a reputable, professional teacher and you'll be on your way to becoming a great pianist!

30 min week, around 800$ per 10 classes. This is for a private teacher. If you have a good teacher like mine, she let me finish 8 rcm levels in 4 years (Normally it takes 8 years) , 10 classes per year. So make sure you don't just look at the price, also consider the teaching speed.

That's going to be WAY different in the pricing. I actually can't quote you a current figure (it's been so long), but i just wanted to let you in on some related info. My experience is that there is two kind of teachers - one being the local hotshot up and coming player who already thinks they're famous and feels they deserve to charge accordingly. The other , is the teacher who teaches simply to spread their love of music and what they know. THAT is the person you want , and they won't charge you unreasonably high fees. cheers.

I taught myself to the play the piano. I found easy stuff online and it was FREE! I have been playing for three years now and I never had a teacher. I can play many peices of music (including stuff i wrote) and it's not as hard as it looks. Impress everyone and teach yourself to play.
