Washing machine. You have to wash clothes, you do not have to go where there is a need to wear boots. If your feet get wet take off your shoes and put your socks in the washing machine. Try managing without a washing machine for a long period of time. Washing your clothes by hand prevents you doing other things.

Wellington Boots. I'd rather have a wet bathroom than wet feet. Soliders get foot rot from always having damp feet and it stops them from walking.
However I have a washing machine but not a pair of wellingtons.
