People often refer to that as the Blue Screen of Death (or BSOD). It means that Microsoft Windows on your PC has crashed.
The good thing is that even when it dies, Windows tries to at least give you some clue as to why or where it died. That is why you have the info on the blue screen. As another poster suggested, you can try to find out more info about the problem on Google or at www.microsoft.com.
If you get this error quite often, it could mean that you are running software on the operating system that was not certified or compiled to work with that version of Windows. You could be missing a driver or have a driver that is too old for some component on your PC. You could also simply have a bad spot on the hard disk and every time you go to read the file in that spot or save data there, you crash.
Some things to try:
1) Make sure that you have updated your Windows software by downloading any patches that are listed as "Critical" from Microsoft's website.
2) Boot your PC in safe mode or to a dos prompt and run a chkdsk or scandisk to try and fix any corruption on the hard disk.
3) Check your drivers for the video card, sound card, mouse, etc and make sure they are up to date.
If you are not sure how to do these things, ask someone who knows how to do this or ask for clarification in a new Yahoo Question.

A Microsoft Windows "Blue Screen of Death" can happen for many reasons. More often than not it is a driver (software) problem. Sometimes it is a hardware problem.

It depends on what the screen it saying. If it is saying a hardware problem then you need to replace something somewhere on your computer....you should know by the message. If it's a software error just reinstall windows.

If it happens over and over, choose to boot up using the last known good configuration. If it happened only once, you might want to look at what you did to your system before you received the error.
What was the error?

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
