Can you honestly say you would not have done the same thing in their shoes? Before you answer the question think about it, their resentment towards Jews was as much as our resentment towards muslims radicals and most German's truly believed that Jews were out to destroy their country. Would you deport or make second class citizen's of a group of people who you truly believed was out to destroy your country and your way of life?

First of all, Jews were not only deported and made second class citizens. They totally lost their citizenship and they were deported to death camps where they were murdered. I am sure there are weird people now who would like to do the same with Muslims, but that can't be more than a small minority of extremists.
Jews were hated more than Muslims are hated today. The way that Nazis hated Jews is without comparison. I don't know if most Germans believed that Jews were out to destroy Germany, after all this was a highly absurd assertion.
I have often asked myself what I would have done if I had lived at that time as I am German. I know that my grandparents didn't care and just looked away. I always hope that I would not have done that. I can't believe that any brainwashing could have made me believe in Nazi ideology. It is easy to say that now as I was raised totally differently, but I always hope that I would have been immune to their propaganda. I do not hate Muslims. I do not hate any people for their religion or their ethnicity. I can't imagine I could ever do that.

Hitler and the Nazis
One individual never tried to hide the fact that his hatred of the Jews was simply because they were Jewish. Adolf Hitler, the man who alone was responsible for the most devastating scourge of anti-Semitism in the history of mankind, had no use for the multitude of whitewashed explanations offered by scholars.

Hitler viewed his hatred of the Jews as unique because he was the only Jew-hater of international repute who openly acknowledged the uniqueness of the Jews as a people. Hitler realized that Jews can never be successfully integrated with the rest of humanity, and he made it his objective to ensure that they never would be.

The anti-Semitism that Hitler professed was not a means to an end; it was a goal in and of itself. The Nuremberg Laws, established in 1935, effectively disenfranchised and dismantled the Jewish community of Germany – but this was not enough to satisfy Hitler.

In the late 1930’s, Germany was rebuilt and its morale restored, but Hitler’s eye remained trained on the Jews. Seven years after the Nuremberg Laws mangled and mutilated the Jews in body and spirit, the Final Solution was launched in the Wansee Conference of 1942. Hitler saw the Jews as something far more menacing than mere scapegoats; the Jewish nation was his mortal enemy, and so became his target for absolute destruction.

Hitler was very rational and, cannot be dismissed as simply a nut. What were the Nazis really after?

The Jews who lived in the shtetels of Poland and Russia between the seventeenth and the twentieth centuries were poor and powerless, utterly lacking any form of influence whatsoever. Yet they were hated. Often they were persecuted and subjected to unspeakable torments. On many occasions entire villages were ransacked and their Jewish inhabitants massacred in cold blood. Under those circumstances, anti-Semitism did not distinguish between rich and poor, between strong and weak, between powerful and powerless.

Likewise, anti-Semites in the middle ages initiated countless pogroms against Jews without first investigating their bank accounts or investment portfolios.

When the Nazis liquidated the Warsaw Ghetto there were no Jewish businesses to destroy. In fact, the impoverished conditions under which the Jews there lived were appalling. The Jews in the ghetto could not have been thought of as "rich" by anyone’s standards, and yet the Nazis felt they had to be eliminated.

Poor Jews have always been hated just as rich Jews have been. When a Jew meets with financial success, it may set the anti-Semite’s teeth on edge, but the Jew’s success clearly is not what created the anti-Semite. Money therefore cannot be the cause of anti-Semitism.

But why did the people believe this? Hitler controlled the media and the media was promoting the propaganda that the Jews were destroying the country. We see the same thing in this country. The liberal media gives one side of the story or leaves out important facts just to make the story favor their own personal bias. Case in point, there is an openly gay Democrat who has admitted having sex with congressional pages but you never hear the media saying anything about it. But when a Republican was found to be talking about sex with pages, the media crucified him.

Ugly:
Hitler called the Germans out onto the Streets to Smash German shops and synagogues.
While he and the party looted all their wealth.
Oh! and he killed the disabled and gypsies too.
But in one thing it's true if people can get a free fridge they'll justify killing their neighbor (bosnia/kosovo), if he's a different ethnic religous racial group, and the Government tells them to do it.

Just a few steps from chaos.
You first?

certainly no longer.. there have been good, CHristian (and non-Christian) German those who HATED hitler (a lot as some human beings HATE bush, yet there is no longer a lot we can do to get him out of capacity..the Germans who hated Hitler had even a lot less freedoms to attempt to get rid of HItler from capacity.) there have been Germans who hid Jews from the Nazi's.. kept their lives.. some that even died for attempting to attempt this... you need to do not ignore that MANY Europeans were "taught" to hate Jews.. toddlers were advised that Jews killed Christian children and blended the blood with their wine... thoroughly ridiculous and faux lies.. yet many superstitious human beings believed them.. human beings concern what they don't realize. German toddlers were shown a movie in college called "The eternal Jew".. The action picture became propoganda claiming that Jews were undesirable and brought about each and each and every of the topic matters. yet even with this, of route there have been those who were sensible sufficient and lifelike sufficient to comprehend that Jews were no different from everybody else.. and they felt undesirable for what became occurring to the Jews.. some did not imagine it became "their problem" and regarded any opposite direction, and some tried to do some thing about it.. convinced, alot of those were those who knew Jews in my view, as acquaintances..

Interesting question. However, I don't follow the crowd, so I'd do my research before making accusations.
