I took a pregnancy test because I am 4 days late... I was cramping and I thought it would come, but nothing. I haven't been that stressed; I took a long, hot, candle-lit bath with music and everything, and I went to the sauna at the gym.. but nothing. The test came out negative.. Although, i admit, it only cost £2.99... I always hated it but.. Where the hell is my period!?!?!? =-(
Pregnant or not?

first of all.... maybe your pregnant if you did something( you know what i mean...)...secondly, maybe you're too stressed out expecting your period.... remember: WHEN YOU TRY TOO HARD... IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!! relax.... another thing, i think a cheap preg. kit isn't that reliable especially if you're only 3wks. delayed.... better have a serum test girl.... that's 100% accurate!!!

A few things could be affecting your period. Age is one. Some women in their late 20's or early 30's, may have a drastic change in their menstrual cycle. Or you could just be having a change in schedule; new moons tend to do that. If you're under a lot of stress, that can also throw you off. If you're pregnant, there are some tests out there that pick up if you're preganant as early as 3 days. So for beginners, RELAX. That may help bring your stress levels down a bit. Secondly, patiently wait another couple of days and then try again. If you can't wait that long, go to your local health department for a urine test and you'll be sure to get an answer there.

do not worry!!! 4 days is nothing! I have been months late without being pregnant. An organism is not a machine or a clock, you can't expect it to be dead on schedule. If you're really worried re-take the test. Oh, and you might still be stressed even if you think you're not, like subconsciously you still freak out and worry about it all the time, despite the hot baths and everything. Relax!

It all depends. Really the only way to know is to have a blood test done by you physician.
If your periods are usually normal than your body could be stressing over this more than you believe and could delay it.
Also you mentioned the gym, active people have a higher rate of irregular periods.
Or you could be prego and not know it yet, it all depends on when you ovulated. If you ovulated late in the month, than it may not show up yet. But a blood test probably would.

For some women, the cycle will have irregularities... Thats normal! Sometimes it seems to take forever for "it" to actually kick it - sometimes this is due to stress or diets.
Take care of yourself and if you're really worried, consult a physician!
