We will get one. Instead of it being a debate about what we should buy, if anything. It will be a case of we are going to buy it, support us or not and they will get the support as it will be the only alternative offered

In plain English, the Prime minister does not have to consult with anyone on matters concerning war. All the PM ever needs to do is press the GO button.

As far as I can tell, looking thru' my telescope backwards, there really is not enough time for a serious debate on the issue. In any case, most people are of the view that we should go ahead and update our nuke weapons. This will take time.
