If a woman has a normal 28 day cycle, what's the possibility she will become pregnant 5 days before her period is about to begin? Is this a time when a woman usually ovulates?

If you have a 28 day cycle then you are likely to ovulate around the 14th day after your period. You would want to have sex before during and after this time! Have sex every other day cause everyday will lower his sperm count!

There's always a chance a woman can get pregnant at any time, but being that close to her period, that chance is alot lower. the week before and after is the hardest time for a woman to get pregnant. The 2 weeks between the period is the easiest, that's when she's usually ovulating. Don't start freaking out if she's a day late. I'd start freaking if she didn't start in the same week that she should have! Wait about 2 weeks after the nite you think she got pregnant, and have a test done.

Good luck, either way.

The period starts the cycle. From the first day of the period you count 14 days - that is likely the date of ovulation. The danger zone is 7 days before through 7 days after, but the closer you are to the 14th day, the more dangerous (like day 10-18).

Of course in my mind, you ovulate on day 14, but that egg is there to be fertilized until it is released with the blood of menstruation. I think it is still possible to get pregnant at that time, though chances are less than on day 14 of the cycle, many seem to say.

Peace!

I agree with the week before and the week after is the hardest. Although that doesn't mean every woman though. We are all made differently and things will happen different for me than someone else. Depends how long your cycles are, if you actually had your period on time, what color your period was, etc. Hope I helped.

Women's cycles are different. A woman can usually tell when she is ovulating because during ovulation there will be a clear discharge... more than usual.
