Yes, just to test how some people like to spread lies and as a lesson for them, because 2 minutes later I tell them it's not true and that they shouldn't do that.

oh my gosh, I just had to set some people at work straight bcuz they started a rumor about me, I think its miscommunication but purposedly done. All they have to do is hear bits of peices of something and create their own thing. The rumor will start out as I heard she brought that sweater and end up me being arrested for stealing a sweater but in actuality the fact was that I received a sweater as a gift. (this isn't referencing me I thought I'll give an example)

One rumor that was really funny was there is a new DJ
that always wears PINK. Then the DJ again on Dick Clark
died, at his funeral someone thought he was there to organize
the entertainment. Look alikes in rumors is a source, the lead
singer of Yaztruzz becoming BSB found a website advertising
that someone in Dollywood handle all the tickets for the tours.

It's a bad idea to do that. When I was in middle school, I was joking around with some friends and told them I was into witchcraft even though I wasn't. Someone else overheard, thought I was serious, and it spread around faster than I could explain the joke. Rumors spread way too fast.

I believe most of the time it is a miscommunication, but once in a while I think you will find one started on purpose to hurt someone.

People start these rumors for fun all the time...for some reason they get their kicks off of it.
Kind of like a chain letter or a computer virus...no explaning those people.

My friend and I went to a professional golf tournament about 5 years ago, and thought it would be funny if we started talking about Tiger Woods and that this was his last tournament. So we would walk around with fans around and talk about that it was sad that he was ending his career so soon. I dont know if anyone believed us, but it was funny thinking about it as we drove home.
