It's different, but I like it. I have a brother-in-law named Gavin, so I guess it's similiar. I get teased because I wanted to name our son Seamus which is Irish and pronounced "Shay-mus"

Gannon, like the main boss from the Zelda video game series?
He's going to be in some trouble if he meets a kid named Link one day.

Definitely a unique name. Nothing wrong with it at all.
As mentioned by someone else, the only 'pick on' name I can think of is cannon, and there is nothing wrong with that at all.
As for middle name, what is dad's first name? I gave my son my first name as his middle name. My middle name is my dad's name. I tend to find multiple/single syllable combos work/sound the best. (Scott Edward. Alexander Scott.) So a single syllable would go best with Gannon in my opinion.
The two already mentioned work quite well also.

Being of Celtic descent, I love the name Gannon.
The middle name is the clincher here. You obviously can't chose anything that ends in vowel+n/m, unless it somehow sounds good together.
I probably wouldn't try to fit a middle name with only 1 syllable also. But there are exceptions.
And definately not Link as the middle name, although I do love Zelda.

No way, that's the name of the villain end boss in Zelda, which has sold 8.6 copies worldwide; so a lot of people will recognize it and think, Gannon, I remember beating him! He was hard, too! Not an association you want with your kid, eh?

Of course theres the sexual connotation of Gannon the Cannon when he reaches middle and high school.
But kids will make fun of any name.

You know what? I really like that! I've never heard of it before. I think that's a really, really good name and I think you should stick with it. I'm being completely honest. That's a great name. I hate when people go to extremes-either something really boring (like John) or something really strange (like Aristotelis-lol). Good name, I hope you don't change your mind.
