In tales of symphonia how do you get a memory gem in the forest in Heimdall?

I assume you know how to get around. You have to shoot the stumps with the bush baby and then follow it. I think it is in like the third screen. If you don't get it, then be a high level and a bunch of life bottles. You will have to fight Kratos by yourself as Lloyd, and then Origin. Just fight people until you see it. Devil's arms help immensely.
