Eat food in moderation. Eat five small meals a day rather than three large meals. That is what I do.
Good luck.

I am on a diet right now, I am not overweight, just trying to lose some pounds before next year. I am not on a certain diet, I just try to eat not so much and count calories and grams of fat. I eat several servings of vegetables a day and in the evening a small bowl of fruit. I force myself to drink 8 glasses of water a day, nothing else. Before I only drank Soda and no water. I looked up online that my normal calorie intake should be about 2100 cal. Since on my diet I eat between 1200 and 1700. Just try not to eat any junk food, look at the back of the packages for calories and grams of fat. Try to eat only things who are low on both. And drink tons of water! If you get the craving for something sweet, go ahead and have some diet chocolate, only eat a small piece and keep it in you mouth as long as possible. The craving will go away without eating too much of it.

let me tell u 1 thing.no 1 can help u in this.u need 2 help urself.there is no such thing as dieting anymore.2days usp is to eat right and eat healthy.eat fresh fruits and vegetables.u need 2 eat a balanced diet.first and foremost u need to chew ur food properly.its said that u need to chew each morsel atleast 30 times.that helps give u a satiety value.u need 2 eat a good breakfast, lunch a little less and dinner should be very light.thast bcoz ur body needs energy during the day to sustain itself but at night u dont bneed 2 burn energy. drink lots and lots of water as that helps to flush out all the toxins from ur body thereby keeping ur system cleaned.eat sprouted foods, fresh fruits and vegetables.eat them as a snack.they r pretty crunchy with the right dressing.avoid all kinds of refined foods.there is no crash diets as such.u must have heard that nothing comes easy.so is ur weight loss.its a slow gradual thing so u need 2 hold on and prepare urself.dont compare urself with ur friends who are thin as they will have a lot of difeerent characteristics which make them thin.u are u.so just relax.njoy.good luck.walk.exercise babe.

I have this fantastic program that helped me. It helped my mom loose weight as well. I'm not a fan of sales pitching so believe me when I tell you its a health care program that , with a nine day program cleanse and shake, you can loose six to ten pounds. In only nine days. I am typically blindingly skeptical about these types of ordeals but I assure you of it's validity. It's an easy and healthy way to loose weight really fast. Dieting, by the way, does you no good. It's not necessarily good for your, it sees that your body is devoid of the sustenance it actually needs. I'm sure your a beautiful girl, and I assure you that you would be satisfied with the results. If your interested, the website is www.janecrook.isagenix.com

First, if you want to lose weight, the answer isn't in radical diet changes, it's in removing single items that have detrimental effects.
Some things to think about not eating to begin with and why:
-McDonalds or fast food in general - High fat, low quality proteins
-Soda - Sugars, especially High-fructose corn syrup should be avoided, but regular soda is still healthier than diet.
-Diet soda - artificial sweeteners, basically trick your body into a metabolic action that it should not be performing, likely to make you actually gain weight.
-Coffee - Kills beneficial bacteria in your gut preventing good proteins and carbohydrates from being absorbed properly.
Do NOT even attempt to do an atkins diet or similar nutjob diet plan. These can do a lot of damage to your body that you will be stuck with for a long time.
Other suggestions that you might try:
-Go vegetarian - most americans will fear this lifestyle, but if you remove meat and replace it will a complete vegetable protein you will be removing detrimental particulate matter that comes with meat from your diet. Particulate matter includes but is not limited to: General carcinogens, trace pest and herbicides, hormones, etc.
-Take a tapered off approach, remove one item per month from what you normally eat until you have reached a meal plan that you're comfortable with and keeps you healthy.

It can be really discouraging if your friends do not seem to need to exercise and are still thin. However, maybe you can persuade them to exercise with you if you inform them that there are more benefits to exercising than losing weight or staying thin. I am not sure what your age is but in any case exercise can help keep you healthy as you grow older.
If they are uncoperative maybe you need to reach out and find some exercise classes that interest you at a local gym. You will find lots of people in your boat there! As far as diet, go see your primary care doctor or chiropractor or whoever you see for health care and they can lead you in the right direction. Good luck and keep a positive attitude. You have to be doing this only for yourself!

Hmm... if no one will exercise with you, you can join a gym. Or you can maybe join a weight loss program like Weight Watchers or something. I actually love overweight people so much... my current boyfriend's overweight, and he's absolutely amazing. But back on topic, you shouldn't be so down on yourself. You have to accept your body, and know that there are people out there who don't care what you look like. If you really hate the way you look and have trouble staying on a diet, your best option would be a program like Weight Watchers or whatever. There's people there who are going through the same thing as you, and they can encourage you and help you.

I don't know what diet you are trying or anything about your health, but I would suggest you try the atkins diet. You can eat a lot of food, get and stay full and really don't have to do a lot of physical activity. I lost 60+ pounds on atkins by eating meat, eggs, cheese and salads and have kept it off to date. I also know there is a lot of mixed opinions about this diet but I have been to my dr and my heart, kidneys and cholesterol levels did well on this eating plan. If you are serious about it, go to www.atkins.com there is a lot of good information and support there! GOOD LUCK!

Yes, girl im going through the same thing you are going through right now. I have been trying to stay on a diet now since october. My major problem is that ive been eating when im not hungry and that is mostly due to stress, and my new office job where i sit on my booty all day! But Monday, i started using the diet pill metabolife, and i know this sounds silly, but its actually helping to curb my appetite. i posted a question about diet pills and i got some positive feed back about metabolife, so i tried it, and its giving me energy and i find myself not snacking at all. Right now, i weight 160, im trying to get to 140 (what i weighed in high school) if you want someone to talk to just email me, we can keep each other on track!

I hear ya lisa. I'm with ya. Sometimes you gotta set some time aside without your friends so you can work on your game plan. It is very hard to eat the right stuff in the right portions and be around those people that seems can eat anything and still stay thin.

Dieting by yourself is hard, but it can be done. Don't be mad at your friends because they are thin. Some people are just naturally thin due to their genes and their high metabolic rate. I know that you don't want to hear it, but you need to just buckle down, stick to your diet and exercise daily. If you have the financial means, hire a personal trainer to work out with you. I wish you the best.
