Sims 2: How do sims become ghosts?

I'm kinda new to Sims 2 and I know that your Sims can become ghosts. How can you control your Sims while they are a ghost?

you take a sim outside and build a wall without any doors and just switch to someone else and when you here wierd music, switch back to the ghost and you can control him but you can't do anything like eat or sit but you can move and talk.

Well first of all, you asked how they can become a ghost, right? Well there are many ways you can kill a Sim, here are some ways you can kill them: make it so that a fire is somewhere in the house, make the Sim you want to die stand near the fire and make him/her/it just stand there. There is a 50% chance they will catch on fire. Also I heard you can make the get eaten from one of those mutant plants you can make. After you create the mutant plant, keep watering the plant until it becomes bigger. After a few day Sim days or so, stop watering/feeding it, until it becomes really hungry. When it does, lock the Sim you want to kill in the room with the plant and the plant will eat the Sim and it will become a ghost. You can control them by pressing either R2 or L2 until you are controlling them.

The mutant plant, is the "cow plant". And is not from The Sims 2 but comes later in an expansion pack. And the sims takes a piece of cake from the plant and the sim gets swallowed inside the plant and another sim can come along and take the juice from the plant to live longer. That is another way, and a VERY easy way without using boolprop. I like boolprop though.

You cant control ghosts. They can scare your living sims to death. Death from disease results in a green ghost, fire a red ghost, drowning, a blue ghost, old age a white ghost.

All you need to do is type in:
boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
Note: the capitals and spaces.
Then hold down the shift key and click on your victim the select Kill....and options come up like death by satelite or death by flies. Once the Grim Reeper takes them away their urn will stay at your house and now your Sim will become ghost

to become a ghost you must kill your sim. to control a dead sims is just like controling a regular sim.

The Sim has to die in your house and then an Irn will appear. Keep the Irn in your house and then a few days later you should have ghosts!

They become ghosts when the die from drowning, starvation, dieing in a fire, electrocution, and aging.
If you are playing the Sims2 on PlayStation you can play your Sims when they are ghost.

you cant control ghosts :(
when a sim dies he becomes a ghost
he will haunt the lot his tombstone is on
the colour of a ghost is determined by the way he died
e.g. old age: grey
fire: red

you simply kill them like dont give them food and dont let them go to bathroom and so on or let them eat old food on the table many ways to do it if you are creative .. You cant control a ghost I tried everything cheating but it wont work :)
