Civil rights for all people.

The history if the Black civil rights movement has one reoccurring central theme....the need to balance the need for funding and the need to express a message. If the message is too radical then it is hard to get funding from rich industrialists....if you message is too accomodating then you risk losing your support base and end up being called an "Uncle Tom".

The topic of where Mlkjr got financial support is one that was uncovered when the Soviet Union fell.....the results were an inconvient truth that was an embarassment. Those sources of funds (there were many othersa well) shadowed his otherwise strong message.
