hi iam also in class 12 and used to face similar problems in class 11 my teacher helped me out. First of all you should notice whether the conversion involves increase in carbon atoms or decrease. If carbon atoms are increasing you note down the reagents which may help you-
1.Grignard reagent
2.Hydrolysis of cyanides
3.Aldol Condensation
4.Canizarro Reaction
choose the appropriate one with adequete carbon atoms
If decrease is involved you should note down the reactions you know(it is mostly using hoffman bromoamide reaction)
Mostly conversions involving increase in carbon atoms are asked. You must be thorough with the theory. I suggest you to go through the mechanisms of all the reactions they make your concepts clear(buy any book on organic chem like Dr.Jagdamba Singh)
bye and best of luck!!

organic and organic Chemistry is a bear of a form. i replaced right into a Biology significant as an undergrad and enable's only say I took it more advantageous than once. i replaced into also an popular to above popular pupil (3.3 GPA). the 2d time round although I made confident i replaced into taking less demanding training a similar semester and that i did my my study on which professor to take. make confident you've a lot of time to opt for to the style and are not section tracked with different difficult training that take useful learn time away. if you should do properly in organic and organic a million the 2d follow up type must be less demanding. good luck and do not ensure your significant only on what training are less demanding. also, very last time I checked Bio, Zoo, or Conservation majors do not make a lot or climb the artwork ladder properly except they bypass unto graduate college, like I did.

Try buying books where all the reaction are given in tabular form and u can have a relative study.
Once u do one chapter, automatically u happen to do some fraction of the other chapter as the are all related.
(prep of one =Grignard reaction of other compound)
Also do similar reaction together
(e.g.all grignards reagent together)
Understanding the mechanism of the reaction may also help
(which bond breaks)though I don't think that is inckuded in the portion.

make a chart of each functional groups's
method of preparation their typical reactions.
