What is Paradise, is it poetical? A phase in a novel or a complete poem may appear sublime to one person but to another have no intellectual, moral or spiritual value whatsoever. The following excerpt from The Little Friend, by Donna Tartt, is an image portrayed in perfect English (by an American) to me: a detailed word painting of an ordinary object transmigrated into pure poetry - yet to the next reader will have no meaning. Yet – is it Paradise. ‘The sunlit rails gleamed like dark mercury, arteries branching out silver from the switch points; the old telegraph poles were shaggy with kudzu and Virginia creeper and, above them, rose the water tower, its surface all washed out by the sun.’ Then going back seven centuries to Dante, a translation by The Rev Henry Francis Cary, A.M. in 1797. As when the lightning, in a sudden spleen Unfolded, dashes from the blinding eyes The visive spirits, dazzled and bedimmed; So, round about me, fulminating streams Of living radiance played, and left me swathed And veiled in dense impenetrable blaze. This is an excerpt from Paradise, Canto XXX. Again this will be dismissed or not even glanced at by some yet to me this is imagery, even when translated, that I want to read over and over again. Okay, this is a translation and Cary has put his own stamp on the original by Dante but it is another transmigration that has been very well done.

"If you were in control and had GOD powers"
you just described my paradise on Earth right there! ;)
or did you mean paradise for everyone? in that case, I'd say get rid of things like war, disease, dying, suffering.. I'd get rid of money and create replicators (like in Star Trek) so whenever someone needed something, they could just create it out of energy. These would come equipped with a zero-point energy generator for power, so they'd never run out of power and people could just keep replicating and replicating as much as they want. I would also make 100 more Earths exactly like the original because if there was no dying, we'd eventually run into serious overpopulation problems..

I wouldn't change a thing. All the bad stuff in the world should be solved by the toil of man, not through devine intervention. I would however use my powers to fight crime Superman style.
"The creation of man whom God in His foreknowledge knew doomed to sin was an awful index of God's omnipotence. For it would have been a thing of trifling and contemptible ease for Perfection to create mere perfection. To do so would, to speak the truth, be not creation but extension. Separateness is identity and the only way for God to create..man was to make him separate from God Himself, and to be separate from God is to be sinful. The creation of evil is therefore the index of God's glory and His power. That had to be so that the creation of good might be the index of man's glory and power. But by God's help. By His help and in His wisdom." -Robert Penn Warren "All the King's Men"

Reverse the pattern set in motion from the dawn of our existence. We failed and everything's falling apart right now. And we deserve another chance!
