I am in an Engl.1302 class and I have feelings for my English Prof. he does not know this. The class will be done in a week and I'm not sure if I should e-mail him or talk to him about it.

Students having crushes on professors is fairly common. If you really like him, don't act on it. The reason is if the professor acts on it--dates you and has a relationship--he could get fired. Most schools have rules these days forbidding professors from having relatioships with student over whom they have any power. That including grading and writing letters of recommendation.

No, NO NO NO NO, did I say NO? You never tell a professor this because he is still in the process of grading you. If he is married or involved you will put him in an awkward position. Your school probably has employment rules against him having personal contact with students. If you really feel you must tell him , wait until after you graduate.

Just wait until the semester is over and grades are in. Then the conflict of interest is removed. He would probably respect you for being mature enough not to jump at your crush and acting like an adult about it anyway.

Write him a letter and use bad grammar and spelling. You will appear naughty, and he'll like that.
