There is a loose connection somewhere. Either not a good tight ground, or power line.Just going over a bump would not cause it for any other reason.

well sometimes mine does the same thing, i just bought a new used car and the orriginal raido was not in it, whomever put the other one in did not connect it right, and the pannel seems to be off a little, so when i hit a bump the wires, or something internal loses its connection. we still havent fxed mine but we've learned to live with it. good luck!

its probably a short in the wiring.i know if iam playing a cd,mine will go off when i hit a big bump,because its jarring the cd.is that what your talking about?

mine does that to your driving to fast over the bump and/or the bump is to high

The on/off/volume knob on my ford is loose it comes on and /or turns its self up or down

are you playing CD or Radio?
if its CD, then you need bump protection
If its radio, then you have a loose wire somwhere
