Telling yourself not to be nervous (and then wondering why you still are) will only make you more so. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a little nervous, just try to focus that energy on the audition. And tell yourself its okay to be nervous!

I've been to hundreds of auditions, and been in too many shows to count... I still always get nervous. The trick is to channel the nervous energy into something you can use.
Athletes have to do it all the time. It's the same when auditioning.
Be yourself, then be the character, then be yourself. You may be a more animated form of yourself, but...

i've auditioned for MANY on-stage plays, but the thing is to be confident! dont' sweat it if you mess up on a line or something, if you do scsrew up you need to keep going as if it was supposed to happen. If you have to read a monologue for your audition, practice reading it over and over the night before you audition. i'm in a one-act play right now and I read my lines every night before I go to bed. hope it helps =]

Just relax and do the best that you can and pretend like no one is watching remember you only get one first impression.
