Not normally. The only time I let quotes stand alone is when they are exceptionally long--normally longer than 4 lines. Even then, quotes need to be introduced and relavent.

A quote of more than five lines stands alone in research and is indented. A quote can be part of a sentence as in : Hamlet's famous speech begins with "to be or not to be" . If you have a quote of one or two complete sentences it needs to be attributed as in : According to Newsweek, President Bush made this comment: " Sentence one. Sentence Two" .

There would have to be one truth better or more complete than the others. God is not an author of confusion, man does that. God allows us our agency, you can form your own opinion, so can I - and we can want to be right. The bigger question is how do you prove your religion to be correct - it's a personal thing and is aided by study but must come from God directly. I have my answer - it's my answer, I can't give it to you, it wouldn't be worth anything to you. It doesn't make me special, it doesn't mean God loves me more, it just means I'm confident that I'm on my best path to Him.

Check out Strunk & White's Elements of Style if you haven't already. It's widely available at bookstores and is something you should have if you'll be doing lots of writing. It's not expensive. The direct answer to your question is not necessarily. It depends on the context in which the quote is used.

No, it shouldn't! The quote should be integrated into your own words. Here is an example:

The theory illustrates how "easily individuals can be lured into the world of organized crime" and how economic factors also contribute.

It can be, except that if you embedded it, it would sound much much more prfessional and testing people always look for embedded quotes.
