I can easily dunk a woman's basketball, but for some reason I just lose it when I do a men's ball (which is annoying, since that's what I use).

DUNK WITH TWO HANDS

When Billy made the bet that he can dunk with Sidney he was hitting the front of the rim.He was not off by six inches. The dunk at the end of the movie was an alley oop.Billy had a running start towards the hoop without the ball to control. And he was warmed up. Thats one of my favorite movies by the way. EDIT:I also think Billy only got $2,500 from winning the tournament with Sidney.I'm pretty sure the prize was $5,000 and they split it.

Hmm, might be your hand size... Have you tried using two hands... You still can get away with one hand... try windmilling and cupping the ball. You may need to work on your jump just to get an inch or two higher. There is already a question about how to develop your jumping ability
Good luck... let's know if you get it :)

keep practicin and get a better grip on the ball, like use momentum to keep it in your hands. this means you could try holding it underhand when you jump, then quickly flippin your hand to make the dunk

i think it's posssible for any man over 5'10" to palm a ball quite easily.
i could palm a ball at 5'4" when i was 13. but not jump n plam it at the same time.
just keep stretching your palm round the ball. i guess guitaring helps strengthen your fingertips.

Same thing happens to me. I can palm a ball. When I jump without the ball I get my elbow above the rim. But when I do the two things at once, it doesn't work.

You have to keep "stretching" your hands to grip the men's basketball. When you're at home, grip one whenever possible. Also work on your grip with vise grips.

Start by getting practice with a voleybal, then work your way up with different balls.
