I called my boyfriend to find out where the saw was, and he told me it's in his car. I didn't question him (why? why?) and now I have 'shallow grave' type images in my head.

I bet he belongs to a secret saw club! And when there he does lots of training and the pholisphy of saws! maybe he took the saw in to show people at his secret saw club, and they spent the whole night talking about it so he came home late at night and was too tired to bring the saw in so he left it in the boot of his car!!! I bet hes worried sick and is wondering if you will ever find out about his secret shame- the saw club! Call him know and tell him you know, it'll put his mind at rest.
Do you think this is a little far fetched.... nah!

Bring it up in conversation like "why did you have the saw in the boot of your car?"

Maybe he's a secret tree surgeon who works undercover of the night. Our local tree surgeon is called Tim Burgess which is funny for two reasons
1)That's what the lead singer of The Charlatans is called

We al should have saw's in our car judging by the strenght of the winds blowing. Might just need it for removing a tree in the middle of the road. Maybe he just wanted for you to see-saw:)))

Not sure why. However, I would employ some good discretion if he asks you to take a long drive with him into a woody area or open field in some remote location.

Maybe he had to take it to get fixed and never bothered to put it back where it belongs. Does he have a fireplace, maybe he needed wood, or wanted to cut his own tree down for Christmas.

you know him better rite, if he's not the xmas tree chopper or home improvement person, then you should have it clarified.
