What are some of you ALL-TIME fav songs and lyrics? Why?

I think these songs are beatutiful and very meaningful. The System of a Down one is very deep and makes you think after you hear it and What a Wonderful World is just classic, abolutely love it. And yes, those songs/artists are a strange mix.

Two of my all time favorite songs are The District Sleeps Tonight by the Postal Service and Everlong (the acoustic version) by Foo Fighters. I probably have a billion more that aren't coming to mind right now, but those two are definately two of my all time favorites. I just like the sound of them. They had that...thing when I first listened to them that hit that part of me and I went yep. That's an all-time favorite.

As for lyrics though, neither of them are my favorite lyrics. My favorite lyrics belong to the band Bright Eyes. I can't stand the lead singer (Conor Oberst's) voice, but his lyrics are just amazing. He's got such a way with words, they're masterpieces.

hmm....this is a toughie for me because i love love love music so much.

I do suppose however that my ALL-TIME favorite song and lyrics would have to be,"God Blessed the Broken Road", mainly because I feel that all girls, whether they want to admit it or not, feel like this at some point or another. Even men! Everyone has their bad relationships until God Blesses the broken road that leads them straight to their one and only. It's very sentimental and heartfelt. It's my song to my man!
