Should newly-elected Congresspeople & Senators be required to watch this movie?
It seems like they're elected based on good intentions, but once they hit Washington, they forget about their consitituents, and focus instead on staying in office, and trying to get all they can for themselves, rather than trying to do all they can for whom they were elected to represent.

Did we EVER have honest, unselfish politicians like that?

Where have the Washingtons, Jeffersons, Madisons, Roosevelts, Franklins and Lincolns gone now that we need them?

No, because it's what Hollywood wants its Congress to be like. Completely ignore what may be the better idea, and do what the people want you to do, regardless of how good or bad their idea is.
