Maybe thrush?
Maybe teething... teething can cause rashes and blisters.
I'd take him back in, or to another pediatrician.

They weren't concerned about a blister in his mouth???
I would think it could be a couple of different things. It is common to see sores in mouths with Hand, Foot, and Mouth.....but this isn't really anything where meds can cure it....just takes time.
Now with the rash on his cheeks....there is something known as "slapped cheek syndrome" and for the LIFE of me I cannot remember the technical name for it.
If your doctor wasn't concerned, I don't know that I would be, either, since they do know best, but if he is significantly worse, you could always put a call in and see what they say.
