Basically chaos to every person that lives near the volcano. Lava is formed then runs down the mountain and then keeps going for a few miles. Rocks and debris are thrown everywhere hitting anything. Worst of all ash is sent form the volcano causing suffocation, accidents, blindness, and dangerous air for a while traveling for up to about five or six states across the country. Lastly causing complete and total darkness over any nearby cities. But something is weird about an eruption. Why is it that when you are over one hundred miles away it sounds like someone bombed a city, but when you are only 50 miles and below away from the volcano...you hear absolutely nothing??

Vent. It's the pathway for the lava to rise from the magma chamber at the bottom of the volcano to the top.
