i'm a big fan of sleeping. since it gets dark so early now that it's winter i find myself trying to convince myself that it's not ok to go to bed before 8 p.m.
it's comfy.
there MAY be a medical condition behind it, like lack of some vitamin or something, but i've been sleeping a good part of my life and it feels ok to me!

I think the above answers are good, you may want to mention this to your doctor, but have you taken into account what you do during the day when you aren't sleeping? Maybe you're wearing yourself out? Do you think that's possible?
I know after a hard work week of 50-60 hours of work and occassional socializing that I could honestly just sleep through the entire weekend if I let myself. That's b/c I really am physically exhausted.
Some people also often use sleep as a means of avoidance, so are you avoiding anything or anyone or a particular situation? Just options to consider.....

chronic fatigue syndrome or hypersomnia
Hypersomnia is excessive sleepiness. It is an excessively deep or prolonged major sleep period. It may be associated with difficulty in awakening. It is believed to be caused by the central nervous system and can be associated with a normal or prolonged major sleep episode and excessive sleepiness consisting of prolonged (1-2 hours) sleep episodes of non-REM sleep and is characterized by:
Long sleep periods.
Excessive sleepiness or excessively deep sleep.
The onset is insidious (gradually, so you are not aware of it at first).
Typically appears before age 25.
Has been present for at lest six months.
A person with hypersomnia may sleep up to twelve hours a night, and still need frequent daytime naps. If the condition is diagnosed as recurrent hypersomnia, this is also called Kleine-Levin Syndrome.

I am trying to figure out that myself. I can sleep forever. I can't wait all day to get home and go to bed. I hate it!!! Everyone else seems to have so much energy and here is me I can't wait for bed. Sucks but I don't know what could be wrong either.

I think that sleep allows us to live lives that can only be dreamed of. In our dreams we can see and do things that are impossible otherwise.

you should go see a doctor. lack of energy can be a symptom of something as simple/fixable as anemia, or as serious as leukemia.
