New oil and filter, PCV is good, brand new breather, oil pressure steady, no oil in the antifreeze (so it is not head gasket), definately not coming from anywhere else, but when I drive it, it REALLY leaks like crazy. It is coming from the very top, not where the tube goes into the block. I would really appreciate any advice- I am so stumped.

Change your PCV valve (positive crackcase ventilation) My Jeep did the same thing when I forgot to change the PCV valve when I tuned it up. If this valve gets plugged up the only place to vent is the dip stick.

If the PCV valve is new as you're saying you could verify it by using pulling it out and shaking it. The valve could rattle. If it does, start up the engine and pull the PCV valve hose off the valve and verify for a suction (vacuum) by using putting your thumb over the hose. If there is not any vacuum you will could discover out why, is it related on the different end, is the hose plugged? in case you have a vacuum and the valve rattles pull the dip stick and place your thumb over the tube of you could place a balloon over it and verify for rigidity. If there is rigidity modern-day you greater suitable than in all likelihood have quite a number of undesirable rings inflicting "blow by using" meaning that combustion pressures are leaking previous the rings. consequently the two the rings are shot and choose changing, you has a sticky ring or 2 or in all likelihood a broken ring.

Could be that the cylinder rings are wore. That would cause more pressure in the internal block, or a blocked drain port in the head. That would cause pressure in the bottom of the block. Oil sludge buildup, run a block cleaner like Seafoam. That doesn't cost much and could help.

Does your dip stick have a seal on it? If so they may be worn out and your not getting a tight seal and as the system builds pressure it sends the oil out any place it can. Try a new dip stick.

the engine could have a broken or stuck ring, or
a burnt piston.you should check the spark plugs to see if they have oil buildup on them.run a compression test and /or a cylinder leak down test on it.
