Last night I had a dream where I was walking out of a building with my BF and some of my family members. We walked towards a parking structure. Once we got there there was a bit of movement in the parking structure and people started to start jumping off the sides once they saw that it had started collapsing. I couldnt find my BF. I saw a few of my family members suffering from injuries from cars moving and beams falling. I tried to move but then it started to collapse more... I could feel myself trying to wake up and i couldnt.. I was finally able to and just was in shock and started crying. Thanks goodness my BF was there laying next to me to make me feel better. But does anybody know what this could mean or have you had this happen to you? What did you dream last night??

(I know you probably arn't a psychic or a dream expert, or maybe you are, but I am asking for serious answers only please.) Thanks.. =)

Actually that happened 2 me 3 nights ago. At 1st it seemed really weird cause I was pretty sure I was a "happy camper" this point and time in my life. But when I sat and really pondered about what happened and how I felt while I was sleep, for me it all came down to the reason of me carrying a lot on my shoulders right now and its so much that some way I just had to release it. Some people just cry to release the tension or stress, some people have hobbies, and some people take yoga. then they r people like me who dont have the pride to cry or the time to do non of the other stuff so we just take everything in and when your body take so much it have to release it some way or another and that was your bodys way of releaving your tention, stress, or whatever that was on your mind or what your going through. I know I was holding a lot because I was crying hard in the dream then fell on my knees and started screaming as to get everything out, which is what woke me up with tears streaming down my face. It scared the s#*! out of me until I though about why I would have this feeling.

Nightmares occur during REM sleep, which usually takes place towards the middle to end of the sleep cycle. We remember them vividly because the they often wake us completely. Night terrors, however, happen during NREM sleep, which take place during the beginning of the sleep cycle, which generally do not rouse us to full consciousness, and thus, we most often do not remember them.
Opinions vary on why nightmares happen, but most believe that they are a way for the subconscious mind to work through a person’s problems, stresses, and worries. There are other factors to nightmares, too: watching a scary movie before bed, high fevers, and certain medications can cause nightmares.

You had a terrible nightmare that traumatized you. I'm sorry about that. Sometimes the every day stresses in life manifest themselves in dreams. Has something happened lately that you feel you have no control over? Do you feel like there is a situation on your life that is unstable and could crumble at any moment? Somewhere in your subconscious you have these fears, even if you don't realize it, and they have just shown up strongly in this dream.

Sometimes you dream about the last thing you saw on tv or heard on the radio. To prevent it from happening again, turn the tv off about 30 minutes before you go to bed and clear your mind. Listen to some soothing soft music to relax. I have had dreams where I wake up crying and screaming, my husband has had dreams where he is driving an 18 wheeler and both of his legs are going like he is using the brake and clutch.

I honestly dont think dreams mean anything. our brains take in so much information over the day, far more than we are aware of, so in order for it continue functioning properly, it needs to sift out useless information. it does this by way of dreaming, calling up all the info not needed. think of the brain like a computer, you do disk clean up etc to free up space otherwise it starts to slow down.

You feel your family is at risk of something... some kind of collapse, whether it is divorce, depression, suicide... something is a little off-kilter and you know it.

You were searching for your boyfriend for comfort. You realize that your family may be at risk of crumbling and your boyfriend is more dependable for you right now.

My question to you is are you going away soon because if you are maybe you feel like every body cant live without you. Or maybe you don't think they can live without them. It will be okay. But i may be 100 percent wrong .

Our dreams reflect our fears, and is how we process information about our fears and lives. Nightmares are normal and common.
