This is my 4th cycle with Clomid (50 mg). No luck so far. Previously, we had been having sex every night from 7th cycle day to 20th day. I read online that doing it every day can affect man's sperm count. Is it true or a myth?

The doctors used to say that sex every day was bad because it reduced sperm count.

However, they now acknowledge as long as you only do it once a day, sex every day actually has a positive effect on chances of conception, and it does not reduce sperm count.

The effect is negligible, though. Those who have sex every other day have a 22% chance of conception each month and those who have sex every day have a 25% chance of conception each month.

You may need to increase the dosage on the Clomid to 100mg or 150mg, as that may be your problem. You should talk to your doctor about it, since they really aren't supposed to allow you to take it for more than 6 months, and you're more than 1/2 way through without any success. My doctor actually started me at 100mg.

True, actually.

Try having sex closer to your date for ovulation - two days each side, that day. Get an ovulation predictor if you don't have one already.

But most of all, RELAX and enjoy each other. Including the sex. Relaxed women get pregnant easier.

not in any noticable way. new studies have shown that marijuana does affect sperm count, and egg production, but that smokers of marijuana got pregnant at the same rate as non smokers. once again, they found out absolutely nothing.

Not sure... but FYI... I do here that it can lead to short term memory! Sorry I couldn't answer your question. Me and the wife are trying to get preg so I'll have to keep an eye out for this one as well.

You are correct, but the degree to which this is happening is variable.
