My son's name is Aiden, and boy does it fit him!!! He is a "little firey one". It is the #1 most popular name in 2006 though, followed by Jacob. (i just saw that yesterday on MSN) BUT if you like it, USE it!!!
Now, for girls, oh i don't know. I am stuck with that too!!! I was going to use Makayleigh, but changed my mind, and now i don't know. But just search the internet, you will find anything you can think of!!

I absolutely LOVE Aiden, just wish it wasnt SO popular right now, if it werent that would be the name I was going with. I also loved the meaning. Funny how you think it's harder to find a girl name, we had more trouble with a boy name. If we have a girl, (we find out the sex the day after Christmas) her name will be Tristan. Sorry I dont have my book handy for the meaning. Good Luck.

Adara also means fire or fiery one. It sounds nice too.
Aidan is cute but good chance there will be a couple in his class. After all the different spellings Aidan, Aiden, Aidon, Aden, Adon, Ayden, etc. it was actually the most common name last year. Then you figure in all the Jaydens and Kaydens....Very common. Of course it is cute - That is why it is so popular.
Use this tool to find some other names that mean fire for boys or girls. There are several:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE AIDEN!!! That's what I want to name my son! I think if you really like this name you could use it for a girl too. I have never heard of a girl named Aiden. I would spell it Aidan for a girl though. I think a lot of boys names are cute for girls. It would be different.

I think Aiden could be used for a boy OR girl. Alot of girls are given more masculine names these days. Case in point I know a little girl named Dylan and one named Ryhan.

I like Aiden...but every 3rd kid is named this right now...it has become too trendy.
In terms of girls names...the same problem exists...everything is Jadelyn or Madelyn or Bailey or someother uber-trendy name...
I would go with a classic name that 10 years ago would have been boring...but now with all these made-up names and spellings will be unique.
Kathryn, Jessica, Jennifer, Laura...etc.
Good luck!

I love the name Aiden for a boy it sounds like a strong name, and the fact that it means fire and that is part of the profession of you and your husband seems to make the name more special.
As far as a girl name goes here are some suggestions:
*Alexa
*Ava
*Sophia
*Emmerson
*Peyton
*Isabella
*Ameila

I love the name Aiden Jose for a boy. If you are having a girl, go for something like Gabriella Alecia or Andrea Dawn. I love those names. Aiden or Adan is a very nice name. but whatever you like you should discuss with your wife. the decisson should be mutual so talk it over with her.

Not to worry, Use Aiden for the boy and Aiden for the girl...Both meaning the same thing, I like it!!
Boy...Use your hubby's Middle Name, and your Middle name for the Girl...
Congrats!!
