I have no idea what I spend on my appearance, but it's small compared to the rest of the things I spend on (utilities, housing, etc.) . I'm not obsessed with my looks or with exterior things. I want to look as good as I can, but I don't spend money or a lot of time worrying about it.

I'd say- hairdye $96 a year (estimate) and clothes probally closer to $300 a year and accessories $40.

sometimes its worth it, someties its not. I hate when my clothes whind up not fitting right or get damaged where I can't wear them- thus I have to go buy more. I also can't stand it when my hair comes out wrong and I have to redye it. I norammyl don't have a problem with my accesssories.

but these things have to be bought. I don't live in a nudist colony- as a matter-a-face where I live it gets very, very cold and I need to have both thick, warm cothes and summer outfits. I also ove dying my hair. psychologicaly and mentally it makes me feel better- and anything that does that is worth it.
it would be better if everything I bought worked the way it should, but since things aren't perfect the money put into how I look is worth it.

I recently started using a budget and I learned that I spend somewhere around $200 a month on my appearance (clothes, jewelry, pedicures, makeup, lotions, perfumes) etc.

While I do realize that its alot of money, I also realize that it makes me feel good to be able to do these things for myself. I work alot and don't go out as often as I used to during college so there aren't as many ways to spend money. I enjoy putting on makeup and looking nice and smelling nice. It's soothing for me and it relieves stress. So, its worth it to me because it's a small price to pay to save myself hundreds more in therapy if I get too stressed out with work and my personal life.
