There’s no universal answer,, some do some don’t.

I take it your wife doesn’t? here’s a laundry list of possible’s…..
1.Doesn’t receive all the right kind of attention that reinforces her feeling of security in her marriage
2.Lack’s a certain amount of self-esteem in herself
3.Knows she is getting “older” and when looking in the mirror she doesn’t see that young “Hottie” she knew looking back at her
4.Raised kids now out of home, empty nest syndrome
5.Never had kids, but harbored a desire for kids,, and knows her “clock” is running out of time
6.Has little or NO “motivators” in her life.. ie: job, etc.. something/anything that she does solely alone and receives some sort of Cookie (rewards) for her efforts
7.Unable to find direction in her life that is rewarding to her

There is as many reasons as there are drops of water in the ocean.. It’s your responsibility to help, encourage, assist, motivate, reassure, whatever it takes,, so your wife can be as secure and happy in your marriage as you are. This is the “for better or worse,, love, honor, cherish,” part of those vows you shared however many years ago. Step up effectively communicate and be the husband she married all those years ago.

It'll take a little effort but,, You can once again be the "knight in shinning armor" Again to the same woman!! And, she'll be happy, loved, and secure once again !

Because what is happening in society today.. Older men having affairs with the young pretty blonde.... They feel that they no longer excite thier husbands the way the use to and maybe someone else will.... It is harder for older people to understand what is going on today.. Times have changed alot since there where young.

Considering that it is rare to find someone who hasn't had a divorce these days, plus that fact that adultry/cheating seems to be getting more and more common...

I don't know how anyone can feel very secure in a marriage these days, men and women alike.

one can never know, under 50 or over fifty if the man we married will cheat or not cheat on us. life isn't anything what it use to be, cheating is so common today in marriages. maybe we feel insecure because our intuition is trying to tell us something. maybe they feel insecure because their husbands don't make them feel secure. as we get older and know we aren't what we use to be, we do feel insecure when we see all thise younger girls with great bodies, we don't have anymore. but we need to know who we are, and feel confident at any age.

I don't know what you are talking about or whom you are talking about but I am a long way from 50 and I am very secure in my marriage.I know I am a very good wife and I do my job so there is no chance I will be replaced. You are profiling and that is wrong.

People get married now a days with the idea that divorce is okay. It gives you an insecure feeling depending on your spouse.

because the man isn't making her feel secure, they are too busy taking sensitivity training and society is taking away their manliness, thus they are unable to do a proper man's job
