Personally, I'd phone Freemans and tell that you wish to make a complaint.

The duplicate item you've been left with was their error. Most people would have just kept it however you have shown a level of honesty and integrity by pointing out this error.

As Freeman's have messed you around and wasted your time and money, i'd complain asking for some financial compensation!!

i realise that the world would be a moodier place if it were filled with people like me, but if they've messed you around!.....

Did you record the first time you request the duplicate collection
have you any evidence at all.If you have just send a polite letter to the company stating that they sent you two of the item. have you still got the original mailing information for both items if so they can trace back of the details on both items all this information is traceable if they cannot clearly track them and not prove that you ordered twice the article then keep hold of it as evidence.just in case they request legal action. you must have your information correct.then you can claim compensation for their mes-sup keep all correspondence from them. usually it computer generated and some plonker hasn't bothered to follow your request. don't keep phoning them and most of all keep your phone bills as evidence. so you can claim your expenses when it goes belly up . and have you been to your trading standards office for advice or even citizens advice. that's what they are there for Regards

Keep it - they're so rubbish they do this all the time. I've had loads of free stuff. They once sent me two new beds at over £500 a bed. Just as well I had a spare room! I never have any problem with this sort of thing with huge businesses. If it was a small shop then that's a totally different matter - just think how much profit they make from you!

Freemans have a duty to collect at their cost for goods ordered and not wanted/faulty/over delivered etc. If they are harassing you, and you have copies of your correspondence, sent them copies and suggest that they take the matter up in court... you will a) have the right to counterclaim your costs and b)have proof that you have tried to get the goods returned, but the company has failed you... then suggest that they collect the goods at your convenience.

I would take the item, wrap it up well and send it back to the company and i would keep the receipt as evidence with the time, date etc and where i posted it. I would even go so far as taking a photo of it and sending the photo and the parcel to the company. That would put my mind at ease .:)

I would send them a recorded delivery letter stating all the facts and telling them that you will not be contacting them again...you could try giving them seven days to collect the item. Tell them you want reimbursing for ALL THE POST AND PHONE CALLS ETC.

Write a one off piece of mind letter to the head sherang of Freems and explain that your sentiments are true and that their company is in breach of several clauses within their contractual agreement. A resolve is of the utmost importance

Disregard Hannah V's answer - I'm sure the police have more important things to do and no crime has been commited. Bet she rings 999 if she's locked out her house.

The answers from Boring old fart and Just me! are the ones to follow. Thats what I'd do.

you tried to be honest enough and let the company know that THEY made a mistake. If they harrass you, just call them back and let them know what you have done and what they have not done. Tell them where to go and how to get there. In other words, just get stern with them. If they never pick it up, that's their problem, not yours. They shouldn't have been so careless in the first place. They made the mistake and should deal with it and not put you in a bind. Good for you for being honest.
