Well if the gay you refer to is a guy, then yes of course. There are even reports of such things for various reasons, example in Germany during Hitler's days, gays were heavily persecuted and more then a couple of gay guys and girls married each other to escape the camps and public ridicule.

Also there are countries now that gay couples can be married, just not the US yet, we're behind the times a bit.

Yes. In fact, I know a lesbian couple that have both married gay military men for the "cover up" and benefits. As has been said before, it's often been done for many, many, many reasons --for economic, taxes, immigration, insurance, etc...

Of course, legally a man and a woman can marry.

I wouldn't really call this "holy matrimony" though...

They can get married, but there will be no sex life with each other in the marriage.

Any man and woman can get legally married, it doesnt matter about sexual orientation.
