I would definitely have the baby's shots prior to flying. I would try to wait 6 weeks - their immune system is not strong enough yet. You would hate to go home for Christmas and have you baby get very ill b/c you wanted everyone to see him or her. I would rather wait until after Christmas and be safe...it's not worth it. If something happened you would never forgive yourself. I knew of a first time mom - same situation. Except she was so excited for her family to see the baby - hers was 3 weeks. It did not turn out well.
Its your baby but my answer would be to wait for 6 weeks. With all the people and the recirculated air on the plane. Better to be safe than sorry.

If you are going to be gone for awhile I would get his shots updated. If you are going out of the country that is a MUST. As long as baby is healthy I think traveling by plane will be just fine.

Taking an unvaccinated toddler on a flight is a extensive risk to their well being. you're meant to shrink their holiday of the residing house at this age because of the fact they have not got any immunities. Flu, Whooping Cough, Measles, hen Pox, Strep, can all be deadly at this age. I comprehend you elect to work out your loved ones, yet this toddler relies upon on you to guard it. United airlines policies have no longer something to do with if it relatively is fairly risk-free to your toddler. At one month you have a pediatrician appointment, how can you do this in yet another united states of america? What could you do if the toddler gets sick in yet another united states of america? Any fever in an toddler is a well being facility holiday. you may have a protracted dialogue including your pediatrician and spouse's OB. she would be able to be lacking significant scientific visits in this holiday too.

as long as she is 2 weeks old the airlines will allow her to fly. jsut make sure you have a pacifier or time her feeding to where she will be eating or sucking for the ascending or descending. i fly my dasughter from alabama to ny at 4 weeks and she was a perfect angel the whole 3 flights.
