can someone tell me their opinion on why there arent any good female rappers? the good female rappers always get into acting and forget about rapping (like eve & queen latifah)
Remy Ma, Lil Kim are probably the best so far but they dont get the credit they deserve...

Because female rappers these days have to raise up. I have a friend she is a female rapper but who does she go to to gets signed. Besides these days men will pick pretty girls who don't know how to rap, like that girl who raps the chicken noodle soup song.
Remy Ma is just a starter she has to be on a lot of rap records to come up in the rap game and plus Lil Kim just got out of jail she has to come back up also as well. I'm waiting for foxy brown to come back up also as well.

In my opinion because when a new female artist comes out she sells herself as a image of sex and thats what turns us women off from that picture. Who wants to hear a female saying she sucks this and buy me that lolo. Its 2006 were independent women and a mans help is cool but we can manage just fine. I mean thats why I dont cut for that many of them because they blast onto the scene acting like there the female version of Jigga Man, and in reality they cant rhyme if there life depended on it. Iono thats just my opinion. I agree with u on the Eve tip though her first album was the best of all her albums seriously she was hungry and gave it her all

i wonder the same thing!! i want to also say, what's up with how the few female rappers there are now, they portray themselves as hoes. where's the positive female rappers?? like eve and queen latifah, also mc lytte, sista souljah, monie love, da brat, salt n pepa. they old school now, but they talked about something other than what they do in bed!!
who do our young female hip-hop fans have to look up to??!

Left Eye was one of the only female rappers with any dignity and class. She had a wild streak, but she was still a sweetheart and actually had intelligent things to say.
