The hydrogen ions released by the vinegar combine with the bicarbonate ion in the baking soda to form carbonic acid, which in turn decomposes into carbon dioxide gas (which gives all the bubbles or causes an explosion in a loosely sealed container) and water.

Putting combs in boiling water and baking soda and vinneager is the best way there is to clean them,the dirtier the comb the less water you use.

It is of course a chemical change. The sodium bicarbonate reacts with the organic acid to produce a metal oxide, water and carbon dioxide. metal + acid ====> metal oxide + water + carbon dixoide The carbon dioxide causes all the fizzing.

its like if you shake a bottle of coke and open it its all fizzy I did that experment in high school for an english class me and 2 other girls had to make a potion for a play we were reading and we had to reherse it in front of the class and we wanted it to look cool so thats what we did

well the 2 substances would react in a way that made it look like a miny explosion. AKA a big bang (although its not very loud). foamy as well. i know cause i done it
