Well there are three potential answers.
A) He is horny and willing to do just about anything. Some guys get like that.
B) He's curious and wants to try it with someone he trusts.
C) Hes really Bi and has been hiding it or has only recently discovered it.
I'm favoring a combination of A and B. He has likely been curious for a long time and is finally horny enough to actually give it a try.

he may be curious, so why not sit down and talk to him about it
he may be just as scared as you was (if you were, when/if you came out)
and after talking to him about it if it turns out he is bi-sexual of you feel secure and you can trust him, then you could both have a happy time together, if not let him know that you don't appreciate him messing you around.
