Google Adsense is where you put ads from Google on your site and you get paid. It is a free program - and you put the ads where on your website or blog and you earn every time your ad is clicked (though sometimes you get ads where you get paid everytime someone views it). With Adsense, you don't bid, you don' t think of monthly cost -- because the program is FREE. Just apply and if they see your website or blog as ok, then they approve you and you can start putting the code on your site. You will get paid as soon as your income reaches $100

Go to Google Adsense http://www.google.com/adsense

But if you are talking of total monthly cost and bids, then you are talking of the advertising arm of Google called Google Adwords http://www.google.com/adwords . This is the program where you SPEND (as against Google Adsense where you EARN).

With Adwords, you identify your keywords and you bid on those keywords. Google will tell you if the minimum bid is $0.10 or whether it is $2.00 -- you select a price on or above the minimum and you will compete for the top spot (meaning the first page on the search results of Google.com). So if you bid on the keyword "home business" and you bid for $1.50 - then your ad will compete with the others who bid for the same keyword.

Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant Google ads on their website's content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your visitors are looking for on your site — or matched to the characteristics and interests of the visitors your content attracts — you'll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.

It's also a way for website publishers to provide Google web and site search to their visitors, and to earn money by displaying Google ads on the search results pages.

You can make more money from advertising.
it will help u to earn, not causes u expenditure.
