Install Firefox as your browser then go to tools > add-ons and click the link at the bottom of the window that says "Get Extensions". On the site the link takes you to, search for Video Downloader (it might even be in the list at the bottom of the page). Install it. Then restart Firefox and when you visit a page with an embedded video on it, there should be a link at the bottom of the window (down in the bar at the bottom) that says video downloader. Click it and it will give you the link to the video you want to download. This doesn't work with all sites but with most it should.

To download something you will first need to know what it is you want to download. You can download many things from websites on the internet. You can use an internet search engine such as google:

http://www.google.com

to locate websites on the internet.

If you are having a specific problem with playing video clips, then you can use the internet search engine to locate video players specific to your operating system.

Some examples would be:

Microsoft Windows: VLC or MPlayer
Linux: Xine or MPlayer
Mac OS X: MPlayer or VLC
