Should I buy Gears of War for xbox 360? Why? or Why Not? I like shooter games. What makes this game so good?

Gears of War is definitely one of the best games out on the 360 right now. Everyone else has told you how insane the graphics are but the gameplay is also fun and pretty simple. There are a lot of little things to the game that make it fun. Someone mentioned the reloading mini game which you don't actually have to do but if you do and hit the right spot (which really isn't that hard to do) you get a bonus to the damage the ammo you just loaded does. Get it wrong and you're sitting there with no gun for a few extra seconds trying to unjam it. One of the coolest things you can do is the roadie run. If you're getting shot at by a bunch of Locust you can crouch and run towards cover and if you're still holding the button you'll slam into the place you want to take cover behind. You can then either blindly shoot by holding your gun whatever you're behind which is obviously less effective or you can pop up or around a bit and have better aim.
The offline story is somewhat short but very fun to play through and I agree with another writer that it is one of the few games I want to play through more than once. Luckily if you have Xbox Live the online multiplayer is incredibly fun. I don't really care to play most of my games online but there's nothing like teaming up with 3 others to try and run, take cover and outmaneuver the opposing team. It's especially fun when you can sneak up on someone and either tag them with a grenade or cut them up with the chainsaw that's attached to your gun.
Anyone who has an Xbox 360 should own this game.

Gears of War is the best game out for the 360, it has all the good features of the Halo games...you'll love it!

Well some people think that female gamers don't know what they are talking about but, I will say to you that Gears of War is definately worth getting. The graphics are insane and the whole story line is great. You can group with a friend to do missions and everything. Its just a great game, but I'll leave it up to you to check it out :)

Like what the girl said it has great graphics and stuff. Then also it's the suppense of what's going to happen next. Also if you die realoding it's your own fault becuase you play a short minigame to realdoad so die doing it you need wokr on it. plus there is so many ways to kill the bad guys. LIke just plain shooting thourh or taking cover and jumping cover to cover shotting. oNly problem i see is the price. buy you'll think aobut the price.

My boyfriend bought that game and loved it! If you like Halo then I would recommend this. He was telling me some similarities but I wasn't really listening. Shhh don't tell him.
