and then if they give them like 5-10 years(if that) they get out early?!

Well when i watch montel...they say that for a man that set his wife on fire and beat her he only got like 5 years in prison...why?!

Because really dangerous criminals are very valuable to a criminal justice system that needs justification for more and more laws. Most serious crimes are committed by a small number of criminals.
