Mine was having the gut feeling, not to leave the hospital, the night my Father passed. Had it not been for my instinicts, he would have died alone. Had that occured, I would have never forgiven myself. Yep, that is much more significant than any of my personal accomplishments.

Glad your gut instinct kicked in for you to be with your father. Sorry about your loss, good to know you were with him.
My most important thing in my life was having my 2 children, they are growing fast now 18 & 24. Can't wait for my next significant thing. GRANDCHILDREN!!!

For me, the most significant thing so far has been giving birth and raising my son. I've been to college, have a career, gotten married, all the usual stuff, but producing and raising a decent young man is my biggest accomplishment so far, not to say I take all the credit for him, either.

I am sorry to hear that you had to go through that terrible pain that's unfortunately a part of life. I myself have gone through that pain with both my parents. But as far as the most significant thing I have done well that would be give birth to my daughter, and caring for her until she's ready to care for herself(because she's only 3).
