what does it mean when a black person tells you you're not white?

A middle aged black lady slammed into my back while trying to cut past me to get on the subway. I politely asked her to excuse herself and she starts yelling at me, immediately turning it into a race issue, and starts saying "You're not even white" while putting her hand in my face. Is that supposed to be an insult. Is she trying to insult me by saying I'm a race other than white? Isn't that pretty insulting to other races? Just trying to get some insight since.

Blacks in america are rude and uncaring in general. Look at EUROPEAN blacks. They speak correctly and are polite. American Blacks cannot even use proper grammar and are openly nasty and vile. Blacks in Europe are NOT this way. Blacks in Europe are EDUCATED. She noted that youre "red bone" as clearly your chosen name on yahoo implies, and attempted to insult you by informing you that white people generally speak of "excusing" oneself, where black folk in general are more ACCEPTED as being rude. Look at all the MTV videos, BLACKS and white who TALK and act black for fear of blacks hurting them if they also dont act like theyre complete idiots, are "representing" the community. Americans can learn alot from the behavior of those outside of america. Like I said, European blacks are NORMAL people. Black people in america are considered rude and vile. And they are.

Tell that poor benighted creature that NOBODY is white! The last time I checked we were all different shades of brown. The only people who are pure white or pure black are ones who have been painted or Michael Jackson.
Sadly enough there is a sub (EXTREMELY "sub")-culture inner city ghetto attitude in which people of color go around desperately trying to be victims and see racism in EVERYTHING! I even had a co-worker accuse me in all seriousness of having a racist radio, because it didn't pick up "black music". I tried looking at the sound coming out of it but did not see any color at all, except for the black color of the radio cabinet.
The best thing to do with this lady's idiotic comments is to consider the source. Just as we are not offended by a donkey's braying because the donkey is after all, only a donkey, you should not be offended by this two-legged jackass's noise.

I'm thinking your Black or not White as the rude lady stated . It sounds she is lost in the past some thing along the lines that white people are the only ones that deserve respect like back in the day . She's lost in her own little world. My first run with racism was when I was about 16 and working at a clothing storee as a greeter . My job was to say hello welcome to our stor a lady turns to me and says oh welcome to my country .
