Im 37 weeks and baby meauring 42 I am 4 cm dialated and fully effaced but baby is still "floating" not in birth canal.About 5 days ago I had my bloody show and for the past 4 days I have had brown and pink discharge. I woke up this morning and my crotch hurts real bad and when I wiped there was streaks of blood dark red blood, I dont think my stomach dropped at all so what is happening? Should I go to doc?

Sounds like your looking your mucus plug?

If baby is measuring at 42 weeks and your 37 weeks then why are they not inducing you?
At this point baby is just getting bigger and bigger!

Have sex to try and promote labor. Nipple stimulation works well also. Castor oil will just put you on the potty all day DONT DO IT. lol. And walk Lots. I would go see my doc just to have a look and see whats going on! i think at 4CM they will keep you!

any time there is bright red blood that needs to be told to the doc!!its probably just labor starting but it could be a whole list of other things as well.call your doc just to be safe!!good luck!
